Ever wonder WHY you attract the things into your life that you do?
…WHY amazing things happen for other people but you’re lucky if you can get through the day without stepping in some version of dog poo?
How do you turn your life around from facing South to facing Magnetic North?
Your life is the result of what you choose to give your attention to.
Think about it….what thoughts go through your mind all day, every day?
Are they about what you want to achieve or are you focusing on the shitty stuff that’s happening right now in your ‘reality’?
Your ‘reality’ is a manifestation of your previous thoughts and feelings, so if you continue to focus on your ‘reality’, guess what? You’ll get more of the same.
Whenever you give your attention to something, you’re making a choice about the direction of your life, right then and there.
At that very moment in time, you’re manifesting the next stage of your life.
When you’re thinking about what you would like, how do you feel when you think about it?
Try this on for size –
Say you want more money….when you think about money, how do you feel?
Do you instantly feel sick in the stomach about bills and get scared about not having enough or do you feel relaxed and free?
When you’re offered the opportunity to spend money, do you say, ‘I can’t afford it,’ or ‘Yeah, well the reality is, I don’t have any money,’ OR do you own your decision not to buy something simply because you’ve realised that you’re not actually in alignment with it at this very moment?
Do you think people who have money must have done something illegal to get it and that it’s the root of all evil OR do you see money as an exchange of love and energy?
Here’s the deal – you WILL get more of what you choose to focus on.
If you think having money will cause more problems than not having money, YOU WON’T HAVE ANY MONEY.
If you focus on not being able to afford things and get annoyed at having to pay bills, YOU WON’T HAVE ANY MONEY.
If the thought of money causes you anguish, YOU WON’T HAVE ANY MONEY.
Why? BECAUSE YOUR FOCUS IS ON HAVING A LACK OF MONEY and that having money is a bad thing. You will attract more of what you choose to focus on.
Now, if you TURNED YOUR ATTENTION to FEELING GOOD ABOUT MONEY –
Money is an exchange of love and energy…
I LOVE paying my bills because of the wonderful experiences I’ve had because of them…the electricity has kept my fridge cold to keep my food fresh, it’s recharged my phone, I could use my computer and turn on my lights at night…my rates are providing me with a wonderful area to live in…the commissions I pay to agents is in gratitude for the opportunities they have passed on to me (if you’re in an industry where this applies)…
I always have enough money to buy the things that I really want…
Get the picture?
If you hold onto money for dear life and don’t let it flow around you, i.e. you don’t happily pay others their asking price for their services and offerings…it will run away from you…
Think of it this way…if someone was to hold onto you for dear life and not want to let you go, how would you feel? Would you want to stay or run away?
Money is the same. If you want it in your life, love it the same way you would love anyone or anything else….and don’t smother it. Set it free.
The same goes for any area of your life that you want to change.
What you focus on, you will create….and I don’t mean just looking at something…
Give it your attention in the way you would like it to be in your life.
Feel good about it. Feel free about it. Let it go.
Yes…I hear you…’But that’s hard to do when my reality is _________!’
See! There you go again….beating the old drum…blah!
Yes…it is tough to change BUT you have the power with you to turn it ALL around.
Here’s six steps to get you started –
Step One – You have to want things to change
If deep down inside you don’t want to change, it won’t matter how much money you throw at your favourite guru to provide mind blowing insights to you – things won’t change.
You HAVE TO WANT TO CHANGE
Step Two – You have to want to change
Yep, that’s where it begins….deep down inside YOU….YOU HAVE TO WANT TO CHANGE.
Step Three – Start changing your focus
Stop focusing on your ‘reality’.
Start taking notice of your thoughts and stop them in their tracks. Tell yourself you are on a new path and consciously replace the negative thought with a positive one…
Say you catch yourself thinking negatively about money. Stop your thought in its tracks and change it to something like, ‘Money flows freely to me,’ take a deep breath and consciously create a good feeling in your belly.
Find an affirmation that works for you.
Step Four – Be conscious of your words and thoughts
Become aware of everything you say or do and replace it with something positive. As you go through the transition, you’ll soon start to notice what you’re saying is not what you want to think. Get excited because it means you’re on the road to success. KEEP GOING!
Step Five – Find joy in everything you do
Find joy in not buying something. Find joy in dreaming about what you want. Find joy in knowing that what you want will be yours. Find joy in everything you focus your attention on…
FEEL IT IN YOUR BELLY!
Because it’s the feeling of joy that will bring you the good things that you want. It’s when you don’t feel good about something that you’ll attract more of what you don’t want.
Finding joy raises your vibration.
Step Six – Take inspired action
You have to take the right action to manifest the life you want. You can find the answer to this in your intution PLUS there are other ways you can consciously start to make changes in your life –
1. When you pay a bill, feel good about it while writing ‘Thank You’ on the bill.
2. Learn to say NO to buying stuff you’re not aligned with –
Here’s an example – someone asks you to go somewhere with them. Ask yourself, ‘Do I really want to go?’ If you don’t, just say NO. Don’t say, ‘I can’t afford it,’ and make excuses…..JUST SAY NO.
Here’s the deal – if you really want to do something because you’re aligned with it, you WILL find the money to do it. If you’re not feelin’ it…JUST SAY NO AND OWN IT.
3. Journal your life into your new ‘reality’
Pen to paper – it’s one of the most powerful things you can do to connect with your mindset and start creating what you want. Write out every, single day how you want your life to be and what you want.
Now that’s some serious life changing shit right there. Stop beating the old drum and make it your mission to change your life.
Turning your old beliefs around takes time…it all takes practice AND it can bring up uneasy feelings while you push your comfort zone boundaries, but things won’t change until you make the conscious decision it’s time for you to start doing things differently.
It’s your life. The quality of it is your choice. Make it sensational!
