We weren’t raised with religion in the home. I didn’t realise there was such a thing until I went to school and we had Religious Education classes. I don’t remember much about the classes except for the excitement I felt when I saw the drawings in the books of the sun streaming down through the clouds.
Even at a young age, it was an instant connection to my soul. I didn’t even realise THAT was a thing, but in that moment, I knew it WAS a thing. A thing I was never taught but I knew existed.
That feeling of connection to a higher power… Source energy.
Because the RE classes were the closest thing I had to understanding this connection, I took myself off to Sunday School. I enjoyed it, and while the story was along the lines of what I was looking for, it still didn’t quite resonate with what I was feeling.
It wasn’t until I was 17 and the career in radio I’d been dreaming about throughout high school manifested before my very eyes three weeks after I left school.
That was the moment I realised I could create magic in this world. That was the moment I realised that I had the power within me to create what I wanted.
Even so, I still didn’t realise the enormity of this being a thing. I knew I had the power to create what I wanted. What I didn’t realise was that I also had the power to create what I didn’t want.
I wish I’d learned that one sooner! I could have done without all of the heartbreak, hospital stays, drugs and surgeries that were scattered among my manifesting achievements.
But then, without them, I wouldn’t have the fuller understanding I have today of how we are the creators of our own reality… Both the good, and the not so good.
Everything is energy, including everything about you. You hold the key and the power to it all. When you release, relax into the flow, you can have a lot of fun.
As for the sun streaming down through the clouds, I still get excited when I see this. It’s a powerful sign. A sign I’m supported by my higher power, Source energy, or as I like to call it… The Mothership.
