Your Body is Listening

I was working with a fitness client recently and throughout the whole session she put her body down…

‘I have terrible legs.’

‘Look at this roll.’

‘My knees are shocking.’

Me: ‘Do you think you could do this?’
Client: ‘Probably not but I’ll try.’

Incidentally, she could do everything I asked her to do and she was really good at it once she was shown how to do it.

She also paid me compliments about how slim I was and how good my balance was. That was nice….

…BUT seriously…..why the put down?

I wasn’t there to judge her so why was she judging herself so harshly?

My only aim when working with a client is to help them to reach their full potential. I don’t care if we have to start at square one. If they have the passion to make progress and keep moving forward to achieve their goals, I have the passion to help them get there.

Unfortunately, most people don’t make it past first base…

They don’t have the belief in themselves…

They’re not prepared to put in the work…

They focus on what’s wrong instead of focusing on what’s right and moving forward with an action plan…

…and I end up sacking them…

Why?

Because as long as they’re focusing on what’s wrong I can’t work my magic…

I can’t help them to reach their full potential…

Why?

Because their body is listening…

Their body is listening to every thought and every feeling…

Their body is responding to every thought and every feeling…

Their body is responding to the vibration they’re creating in their body…

…and the result?

They get nowhere.

When your body is fed negative words and emotions it can’t move forward….it can’t improve….

It stays where it is, too scared to move forward and too scared to create a new normal.

It gets sick. It develops problems.

Start focusing on what’s right. Start focusing on what’s good.

Appreciate your body…even if it’s currently not the way you would like it to be…Say nice things to your body and watch it miraculously improve before your very eyes…

Take inspired action to improve your body in ways that you enjoy….move it, compliment it…let it know that you love it.

Love your body and it will love you back.

Say nice things to your body…..YOUR BODY IS LISTENING.
