Free Your Art…Feed Your Soul…

Whether you believe you’re artistic or not, humans are born as creative beings…

Every.single.one.of.you…

Unfortunately, knowing you have this ability gets knocked out of people from a young age when they’re told they’re not good at something…

Who decided you weren’t good enough at whatever?

It was only their opinion…

Hey…I might not be the winner of a running race if the intention of the race is to come first BUT…

If the intention is to come last…

I’M A WINNER!

Who says you have to come first to be the winner?

It’s all about perspective…

So you tried to draw a picture and someone else said it wasn’t any good…

By whose perspective?

Theirs?

It’s only their opinion…

But it’s those opinions you foolishly listen to and eventually you give up on the possibility of living your dreams…

And you start expecting yourself to be perfect in everything you do so apparently you’re not good enough to achieve those things that other people do…

Trouble is…no one’s perfect…

The difference between you and them is that they didn’t give up…

We’re all creative and to be creative means being imperfect…

Tuning in and allowing the messages of your art to come through…

But you’re afraid it won’t be good enough so you push it away and laugh it off by saying how unco-ordinated you are, that you couldn’t draw a straight line to save your life or that you’re just no good at whatever it is…

You stop allowing your creativity to naturally flow through you and you stop giving yourself a chance to learn something new because you’re constantly comparing yourself to someone else’s ability…

STOP PUTTING SO MUCH PRESSURE ON YOURSELF!

You are creating every single second of the day…

Your life is a creation…

The way you live it is a creation…

When you cook something, you’re creating…

When you talk to someone, you’re creating…

The mess on your desk…it’s a work of art…

Every single thing you do, regardless of what it is, is a creation…

Did you know that everything in life is based on patterns and grids?

Music…the rhythm of the waves as they flow in and out from the shore…buildings…trees…living creatures…mathematics…

Everything…

And it’s when someone allows themselves to tune in to this and they allow their creativity to flow through to combine with it that makes them appear more artistic than someone else…

All they’ve done is made that connection and tuned in to it…

You’re not unco-ordinated…

You can draw…

The only reason you think you’re unco-ordinated or you think you can’t draw is that you simply haven’t learned how to do something…

You haven’t allowed yourself to a) be a beginner and b) allowed for your natural connection to it to flow through…

And just because you haven’t allowed that just yet, doesn’t mean you can’t learn…

The trick is to let go…

Stop putting so much pressure on yourself and have to have fun learning something new…

Whether it’s learning how to dance, learning yoga, learning how to make something, learning how to cook…

If you have the desire in your heart and wish you could do something…

GO AND LEARN HOW TO DO IT!

So what! You’re not an expert!

Stop putting so much pressure on yourself to be an expert when you have no experience!

It’s ok to be a beginner and it’s ok for other people to think you’re not good at something…

Stop listening to the naysayers and start listening to your messages from within…

It’s your life…do with it whatever the bloody hell you please!

Don’t put your life on hold just because someone else thinks you’re not good at something…

JUST DO IT…

It’s only their opinion and when it comes to your heart, your soul and your art…

No one else’s opinion counts…

Free your art. Feed your soul…

It’s good for your health…

Take my portrait painting and drawing, for instance…

My Grade 10 teacher shot me down in flames when she asked me, ‘Is this really you?’ when I handed in a self portrait for marking…

For two seconds, her words hurt…

But by the third second, my hurt turned into conviction…

‘I’ll show you!’ I thought…

And I set out to learn how to draw portraits…

By Grade 12, I was one of the best artists in the school…

Thank you, Miss Moretti…

The thing is, drawing portraits isn’t difficult when you know how…

What it takes is an understanding of the fact that everything in life is patterns and grids and then tuning in and allowing your natural artistic ability to flow through…

Most people can’t draw portraits simply because they haven’t learned how to…

I want to show you how…

I’ve put together an easy 6 week program where I’ll show you the steps and the insider tips to teach you how to draw a portrait…

I’ll show you how to understand a face…

How to draw the eyes, the nose, the mouth and all the other bits and pieces…

I’ll teach you about colour and why you don’t use black in a coloured picture (but, hey! It’s art…you can do whatever the hell you want!)

And I’ll also show you the secret tips to give a portrait that WOW factor…

You can draw…all you need is to learn how…

Beginners welcome. The only requirement is that you have the desire in your heart to learn how to draw because that means you’re half way there…

I’ll show you the rest!

We’re starting Monday, 29th January, 2018…

I can’t wait to see you there!
