Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark

How often do you suppress an emotion or refuse to look at the negative side of life?

Is it because you’re afraid of what you’ll find?

Is it because you’re afraid that if you focus on it you’ll create more of what you don’t want?

Have you been taught by some well meaning soul, who thought they were doing the right thing but ultimately instilled you with a self limiting belief, to believe you’re supposed to just suck it up?

How often have you felt upset and told yourself to stop being silly and to just get on with it?

The only thing ignoring emotions and any negativity is doing is holding you back from achieving your greatness…

For a start, holding emotions in is bad for your health…

It will cause health problems quicker than you can say ‘WHOOPS!’

It will cause weight gain and weight retention…

It will cause physical ailments…

It will keep you frozen in a moment in time…

If you’re supressing emotions…

Whether it’s with food, drugs, ignoring them or by any other vice…

YOU’VE GOTTA STOP AND LET THEM OUT!

Don’t be afraid of the dark…

It’s when you face the dark that you can see the light…

Dealing with them when they rise to the surface is THE ONLY WAY to free yourself so you can move forward…

You’ve got to release them, baby…

Let the emotions out…

Let the tears flow…

And get it completely out of your system so you can make way for a new belief…

Is it fun?

Quite frankly…at the time…NO…

It can be pretty full on…

But once you’ve experienced it a few times, you’ll start to get excited as you feel another emotion bubbling to the surface because YOU KNOW that a new normal is waiting for you on the other side…

It becomes exciting to let your emotions flow and let them take their course…

Why do we hold emotions in?

There can be several reasons…

You’ve been taught it’s weak to be emotional…

Maybe you’re scared to face what’s causing the emotion…

Maybe you’re afraid that if you acknowledge it you’re going to create more of what you don’t want…

Where’s the safety in it?

Whatever the reason, you need to find a way to deal with it so you can let your emotions flow freely when they’re ready to rise up and exorcise themselves from your body…

Why you need to get those emotions out?

Holding them in will only serve to make you sick and hold you back…

Don’t be afraid to feel your emotions…

And don’t be afraid to confront the fear that’s hiding behind them…

Because the quicker you can do that…

The quicker you can move forward…

Holding in emotions is only serving to hold you back…

You need to get to the bottom of it…
